    i have a hevily planted tank that i have disus in i recently got a presserized co2 systom and now my ph has droped to 6.0 (maybe lower i cant tell my ph test kit gets hard to tell bello 6.4 what color it is. i am blessed with extremly soft city water great for discus but with a kh of 20ppm and a ph of 6.8 with co2 it drops fast is it ok to ad a bit of bakeing soda or something to rais the kh a tiny bit to make the ph more like 6.4 so i can see what it is or is 5.8-6.0 ok for discus rams cardanols and rummy nose?

    I don't have experience with your situation, my water is plenty buffered already. All the fish named do well with pH of 6 or so, but I think you have a dangerous situation for two reasons, a pH crash is a deadly and changes in pH in your tank is very hard on the fish. Adding CO2 is much more compicated than it seems, here is a site that has the best info that I have found on the subject:
