    Default Growth rate post Spawning

    Hello all,
Just had my first spawn in the community tank, the eggs didnt last long. Had to go to work and when I got back all the eggs were eaten. :'( :'( :'(
These discus (Blue Heavens) are fairly young, I got them about 5 months ago from Cary, at 3 inches including tail. The one I think is a female is ~4 inches excluding tail and the other one is larger. Just wondering what everyones experience was with growth rate once the fish reached spawning age.

    Thanks Chris.

Lovely shape on the blue heaven and the pigeon blood. My cross ended up 100% pigeon blood. Did the orange one lay the eggs? I've heard pigeons mature earlier. Her blue boyfrieind may just be praticing for right now. Males mature later than females.

    Hi Carol,
Thanks for the input, I really like the blues shape and color. I'm guessing its the pigeon thats the female just because of the way she looks. They make it a point to spawn after I've gone to sleep so I never see whose doing the laying. Anyways they spawned again last night and this morning I covered the area with a mesh just to see if any wigglers develop or if the male is still firing blanks. ;D ;D ;D ;D
