Re:Previous and my new setup
Very nice! I like your new setup a lot more than the old one. Is that the same background as the first setup?
If your red plants are going green try adding more Iron and a little more Potassium, that tends to be the reason.
How's your hairgrass doing? Everything I've heard and experienced myself is that hairgrass in a new tank tends to be a host for a major algae problem.

I like that background, what is it?
The driftwood is amazing and is growing well. What is your secret?

Re:Previous and my new setup
Biotypical,
my hairgrass do have alot of bba during the initial planting stage, however I trim away the bba weekly and introduce 40 yamato and 200 malayan shrimps.
The bba are reducing and the hairgrass begin producing runners.
The hairgrass tend to attract alot of algae during initial planting when the emersed leaves melt, the new leaves will less likely get affected.

Ralph,
the background is a rocky styrofoam blackground
it is neater and easiler to maintain.
The plant on the wood is ricca tie on it using fish line.
I have to trim it regularly to prevent it from floating up.
