    Default Airstone?

    How important is an airstone or equivalent in a discus aquarium? I have a 92gal aquarium that I am going to put discus in. I have good agitation from my filter return at the top of the tank so is an airstone needed?

    If you have good airation from the filter and the tank is not heavily stocked you can get by without one. During times of medication an airstone may be necessary.
