    Default Widowed Snakeskin

    Hello peoples,

It is a tragic day as one of my oldest and largest discus a Blue Diamond 8+ inches has gone to discus heaven. Leaving behind his faithful wife of many years sad and lonely. She is a lovely 6+ inch snakeskin.

What to do now? Should I let her be alone for a while? I have some 10 - 13 month old discus that would cross nicely should I throw them together and see what happens? What would you do?

I'd most likely put her in with the others and see what shakes out.

Too bad about the male. Good males are tough to get.

I had similar problem with yours. But mine was female snakeskin which gone to heaven.

My male snakeskin pairs up with female malboro red.

Dont put her in there just yet, what happened to your male why did he die, certainly not old age. If he had something then you could pass it on to the others by moving her in with them. I would worry about that first then about a new mate.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Poor little girl.
I agree, I would keep here there for a bit and watch her.
THen if all is ok...move her in the community tank.
