Default Wilds from Oliver for sale in USA!

Hi Y'all, I got in 8 boxes of wild fish from Oliver, I want to keep about 8-10 so I have 70 fish to sell!
    Alenquer Brown 5-7" $45.00
    Alenquer Red 4.5-7" $100.00
    Browns 4-5" $35.00
    Browns 6-7" $45.00
    Blue 4.5-6" $45.00
    Blue 7-8" $65.00 Giants!
    Red Tucurui 4.5-5.5" $65.00
    Red Tucurui 6-7" $75.00
I got them Sunday, They ate bloodworms that afternoon, they ate beefheart today. Oliver has had them for several months so they are acclimated and appear very clean. Once they are over the shipping stress to me I'll be sending them out next week. Pictures posted below! Ken

    Hi Ken,
Nice looking group of fish. Congrats on distributing Olivers Fish!

I have a question for you on them though, and I hope you don't take it the wrong way, but it seems like you are turning them out a little too quickly? I know you are excited here, but quarantine and observation for at least a few weeks is always a good idea when possible, I guess its my personal preferences, but it worries me when discus are not put thru a good quarantine, and it doesn't really matter the source of the fish either.

i'd quarantine discus for weeks and weeks these days.

Can I ask how you normally handle QT of your fish?

Hi Brew, Good question, I normally quarantine new fish at least two-three weeks before I sell any, and treat them if nessesary. These guys are not recently collected fish and have been in captivity for over two months, They eat Flake food out of your hands and are fat and very tame, unlike other wilds I've gotten from Peru and Colombia that were full of bugs and would not eat anything but bloodworms, These guys have eaten everything I've thrown in the tanks, So they have been thru the quarantine process already so I feel safe in selling them. I know Oliver and trust what he tells me. I tell folks, Always quarantine new fish before you introduce them to your existing stock. Just makes sence to me. I have saved back 8 of these guys for breeders and will keep them separate from the rest of my fish for 6-8 weeks. Ken

    Hi Ken,
Thanks for the reply! I agree with you on that advice you give when the fish are sold..... Quarantine...Quarantine ...Quarantine!

    take care,

I got 10 of these fish from Ken today also. Just want to say thanks to Ken. Everything was exactly as explained with no surprises. Thanks Ken. They are very nice looking fish and had a huge appetite when they arrived. The big blues are REAL BIG fish. I love them.

Thanks Les! Glad they made it in good shape, Shipping big fish is a challege to say the least, especially when the airlines make it a hassel. They did not want to accept the syro, (Even though they have 100's of times before, new guy I'd never seen before with an attitude!) so I had to make a box on the spot to cover the styro with cardboard and almost missed the only flight to you. I worry about the fish every time I send them out until they arrive (and I ship 10-15 boxes a week! ). Good luck with crossing these guys with your domestics. Ken 8) 8) 8)
