Maybe more of us could answer if we could remember when and where? Maybe it's a case of "If you have to ask..." but I'd still like to know.

    Thanks in advance!

well ..hope you get back then jack. heh kinda catchy.....lol
if you do..i will kick myself for not going. was meant to..but...too many kid things on my plate.
summer camp..and organizing my daughter for university..and fish fry to grow..etc etc. and of course that pretty coloured money...isnt growing on my tree i planted. : (( someone told me it would.
hopefully we will get a report on who won and what nice fish were there and who met who..and who was the best behaved little discus person.
    we could have categories.
    the quietest
    the tallest
    the shortest
    the most brightly coloured shirt
    the happiest
    the furthest travelled

    etc etc

Mench - Thanks for the info. Gotta check the calendar and see what days I can do. That, then, is a firm "maybe I'll be able go!"

John, and everyone else going the best time to get your discus is the moment you get there, the longer you wait the less you will have to choose from..I know Joe and the rest of the gang will be set up late Wed, or early Thur....Most others are selling by Thur. nite or Friday at the latest....you have to move fast...There will be several 100 discus for sale most in the various hotel rooms from 2 inch fish to breeding pairs plus more in the main room but you have to act quickly to get what you want. Just look at the "for sale" board to see what rooms. It is like being able to visit everyones hatchery all at one time and at the same place. Allot of other people are there just like you looking to buy fish..So either bring a tank to hold your new fish or rent a tank down in the main "fish for sale room" to put your new fish in. You wont find to many people that will hold the fish for you, Joe and the gang did last year but I dont know about this year, everyone wants to sell what they have fast so they dont have to worry about them or have to hang around in their room waiting for people to look at them. If you ever wanted the chance to "hand pick" out your own fish from numerous strains, sizes and breeders/importers this is the place to do it, and it appears that this year there will be a huge selection to choose from.
That said you can also catch some great deals late Saturday night or early Sunday morning because what ever people have left over they would rather sell cheap then have to bag them back up and take them home...
Most people pull out early Sunday morning for the long drives home or to catch their flights....My family and I will be hanging around this year through Monday so I will try to catch up with you at the auction.....

cough well if i coudl get there early i would, but i will be lucky to be there on sunday, i got this problem called a job. I just cant seem to shake it. It seems to interfer whenever i try to do anything. I am sure there will be neat and interesting things in the auction. I am only gonna bring around 500 so spending is limited this year.

well i got one of those jobs that if i am in the hosp, with say 2 broken legs they will plug in a laptop and say go for it. I get no sick time and I am on call 24/7, but when everything works well i get as much time off as i want. The problem is i wont knwo if everything is working fine till the week of, now i can always pull the "i lost my cell phone" bit again that is generaly good for about a week
