    Default CO2 Systems

Where is the best place to pick up a complete Co2 system? What is the price their?
Is it best to buy a tank or can you rent one from local suppliers like BOC Gases?

    Thanks

    Carsten

    Hi Carsten,
The cheapest is to go and check out the local welding supply shops. You can get everything you need there for a fraction of the cost at the fish stores. You may need to special order the fine precision needle valve. I paid $120cdn for my 10lb canister and refills are $10. Do not rent the canisters. Not worth it. Find a store that will actually sell the canister to you instead.

I bought my CO2 tanks from Superior products - they sell supplies for kitchens, restaurants, etc...

They are made of aluminum and need to be tested about every 3-5 years for safety.

I have both the regulator/ needle valve/ diffussor kit from Dave Gomberg and I bought the Eheim diffussor to work with the kit fro Marine Monolith Monsters (also bought some check valves from M3 too). They both work fine.
