    Tetra test nh3/nh4 will not give a fasle positive.

    I use Sea-Chem prime, 5 mls treat 50 gallons, and only a slight discoloring using (Aquarium Pharmaceuiticals el-cheapo).

    Try using a pool cl2 test kit Wal-Mart sells them fot a couple of bucks, I spot check the tap. Depends who is sleeping at water plant I guess anywhere from a 2ppm-8ppm. ZZZZZZZ.
    Need to watch these buggers.

    So, I'm still a little confused. Will the newer, two-bottle version of Aquarium pharmaceuticals' Ammonia test kit give true or false readings with chloramine treatment?

    Thanks in advance for your responses.

    Prime is the way to go. 1 ml per 20g/H20. I bought the 2 liter bottle from bigalsonline.com and it comes with a 1 ml dropper. Only 2 ml per wc per day in a 60g tank. I still have a lot left! There is something written in the instructions if water temp is 86 degrees plus which most of our tanks are. I e-mailed seachem and they basically said it wasn't a big concern with discus.

    I recommend use up your amquel then purchase a bottle of prime at big als.

    Wow two drops. Thats is a powerful. I'm disappointed in the fact that I didn't here about this stuff before I bought the amquel.

    That would be 2 ml, not 2 drops...

    I use prime and it is 1 ml per 10 gal. Do you have another line of prime. Also I did not get the dropper with the 6 oz
    however I got it with the smaller one wow can you figure that.

    Prime = 1ML per 10 gallons.

    Pond Prime = 1ML PER 20 gallons. The discription on Big Al's is incorrect.

    I got the 2 liter size from big als. I don't think the smaller sizes comes with a dropper. Brian is right, prime is 1 ml per 10g instead of 2 ml.
