To all breeders: Can I make money out of discus breeding?

I agree pretty much with everyone, through out years . I always end up in whole sale mode and after cost with for most of us comes at the retail level well you do the math I try it all LFS, flea market stands on my own and to a third party, most of the time was almost breaking even after all the cost including the wholesale license. with Angels and a little better with Discus. I Remember once I sold to a guy in a Flea Market over 1,500 angels for 30 cents, each. that is less $300.00 total . many of them were adults and breeding pairs. but I was about to deploy overseas and got no choice.
Right now, I have 150 gal tank with about 100 nickel size pure German red turqs juvies(both parents). I will get lucky if I sale them to ten bucks each.
So I see this way do it because you like it and as a way to mitigate cost for this expensive hobby. but not too make profit at least not in the long run.
