Then Click - Find a map. A world globe will appear.

Re:Kiwi, Kiwi, Kiwi!!!
Well, it's not quite that far South. Move the pin up north about 50 miles. Actually, you've placed the pin pretty close to Hamner Springs (hot springs in an Alpine environ) which is also very beautiful!

Re:Kiwi, Kiwi, Kiwi!!!
Come on Smokey.
Stick another Pin in Hamilton.
At the moment it looks like we need Peter just to make our South Island look habitable.
Still Peter apparently does not mind sheep, and if that's the case he wont get bored.
So let him head on over.

Re:Kiwi, Kiwi, Kiwi!!!
K' . done. ... see the above map;
- relocated the sheep hearder, lol.
- spawn is the newest to admitt - he is from the islands .
Congradulations.
Howevery, to remain - it is best if we new something about ya, eh!
BTW - i won't tell ...
My Aussie discus are doing great. They are , now 15 months old! Their colours are very pronounced; their shapes are ... well, lets just say - as perfect as one can get.
My total support for ' MY BREEDER" and recomandation !
Unfortunately - the success has gone to his head - and others are beating down his door for discus. NOW - he spends his time on a "golf coarse"; and with his wife and chrildren. Is this any way for a breeder to act ??
NO - I say. Back to the fish room --- breed them thar fish.
Canada needs your discus ... please !!!
[ all in good humour].

Re:Kiwi, Kiwi, Kiwi!!!
Luca - you were wondering about the size of tanks. A 20 g = 24 inches; 30g =30 "; 33g -=36 "; 55g = 18 x 36". etc.
Most of my breeder tanks are 85 Liter / ~20 g. ... 24" x 15" x 15".
The 15 inch width seems to keep the parents happy and still have a run of 24".
Just woundering ... Why do you/anybody build their own tanks ??
Cheap - easy -
I just cut up some 82" x 82" sheets of 6 mm glass. These will make me some very nice 100cm x 40 cm x 40cm = 160 liter grow outtanks. OR spawing tanks.
Think about it.
There is always a surplus of used glass, somewhere. Just have to look for it !
Tools - glass cutter, tape measure, straight edge, silicone.
And nerves !!!! hehehehe lol.
Actually, it is very easy and rewarding to build your own tanks.
And , this will allow you to customuze the tank for any particular purpose.
eg . for cory catfish - I built tanks 15 cm high x 24" long x 40 cm wide. Low water pressure on the eggs. Worked great.
Also great for the first weeks of discus/angel fry.

Re:Kiwi, Kiwi, Kiwi!!!
Smokey, i would love to build my own tanks but have no idea where to find (cheap) glass.
Secondly, wouldn't you also need some kind of clamps to hold the tank in place whilst the silicone dries or do you just press it together??
Is a straight edge a tool that has a 90 degree angle in it?
|_ <<<---(shaped like that?)
talk soon,
Luca.
