    Default Baby Blue Pics

I had mentioned earlier that I was selling off my baby Discus in Northern New Jersey... They're a cobalt/brilliant blue mix. A lot of people have different names for the strains... I heard someone call the father a red snakeskin...sorta makes sense I guess...except that he's mostly blue... Anyway, I've had a lot of requests for pics of babies and parents...so here they are. "Dad" looks a little darker than usual in these....maybe because he was breeding at the time..... Enjoy... Oh: there are a few culls in these pictures, but I didn't have the heart to kill them. Right now, they're in a cull tank....I just want to see if anything good comes from them...

Thanks for all the encouraging words, guys.... these were from my second batch of the summer. I'm going to keep about four of them and see if they mate with some very pretty Pigeon Bloods I picked up from BoxerDad a few weeks ago. It's kind of a bummer having to sell them off, but they're getting to big for me to handle...

As far as what the male has on his nose, I didn't notice anything, but in the second picture it does look like something...I think it's just the striations of his coloring. In the first picture you can see his nose is fine.... except for a slight bump which I never noticed before. Thanks.

By the way, I don't breed them on sponges...those pictures were taken in a community tank after I had separated them from the fry. They just keep going and going...and going...

So they're a Neon Diamond and a Wild Blue are they? I really have to smile at all the different names give to discus strains. Is there one definitive source that can tell me what the various strains look like?
