"Disco Worm" by Mark Weiss

I noticed this product at my LFS. Its active ingredient I cannot remember, unfortunately, but it is none of the things that appear on this forum very regularly. Some kind of heavy metal, I believe. Has anyone had any experience with this product?

Has anyone ever used this med? Can it be mixed in food?
If the Discus is infected with worms, will it always be evident in their feces visible to the naked eye?

Yes Jules I have used it but be aware that it is Toxic to fry.

To mix in food, weigh out 4.5 grams of powder and dilute with 100 ml of water. Use 1 ml of this solution per pound of food. Feed for 3-5 days. This equals 1 PPM. Upon introduction to water Di-N-Butyl Tin oxide releases tin oxide. Do not be alarmed if this product does not appear to dissolve.

DOSAGE: 1 gram into 4 oz. of water. Shake well. Use 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons. Treat one time only and leave in tank for 4 - 5 days.

What exactly were you using it as a treatment for?
Also I assume they continue eating when they have worms, with a full appetite; but do not gain weight. Is this a fact?

I used it for worms (internal and external) Most likely your fish won't gain any size or weight very well as long as you are feeding the internal worms also.
