I got 2 wilds .... but there are problems

Hi guys I bought 2 x 4" browns ... the guy had them in planted tank for 8 months .... when first I got hem they started showing very dark stress bars and then turned all in dark .... today one of them is normal he got his color back and the red eys but the other one is still dark with some very little white thing on his tail and one of the fins... is it normal or I have to do something

Hi Al ..... it's a breeder I know send me this pic ... he gets fish from Asia .... I wouldn't buy a fish like that it's not very attractive .... this is the only pic I have

Sounds like general stress. I would say let them settle a few more days., also add 1tablespoon salt/10 gal , that may help.

Just curious... what you describe will sometimes happen if you do a large water change straight from the tap without aging the water? the dissolved gases cause the fish slime coat to "peel" off it.

Hi .... the water was aged (Same Ph , air stone, same temp.) .... the good news they are better today so I hope they keep it up .... I will let you know how they get on
