I finally got wigglers!!!!!!!!!
After months of working with this mated pair and literally dozens of spawns I am watching tails poke out of several eggs as I write this. I am not sure of the exact numbers yet as there are alot of white eggs and I don't want to bother the parents. But I have identified appromately 15-20 wigglers and more are hopefully on the way.
The pair is a Red Turq female and a really gorgeous Brilliant Blue male. I posted some pics of them on the pictures section a couple of weeks ago.
Even if they don't actually hatch and go free swimming at least I finally know for certain that they are a fertile pair.
I want to thank everybody on this board for their help and patience. I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks everybody!!
I'll try to post some pics later...

Re: I finally got wigglers!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the words of encouragement guys!!
The female moved the wigglers (which I'm guessing are around 20-30 in number) off the spawning pot and onto the sponge filter this morning; presumably to get them away from the fungus growing on the dead eggs. She has not left them at all and whenever one falls off of the sponge she picks it up in her mouth and spits it back on. The male has been ornary as hell all day. Whenever I come near the tank he starts slapping the glass with his tail and swimming in circles. This behavior is very encouraging as it shows they are serious about taking care of their babies.
I took a picture but the wigglers didn't show up real well. You can see the dead eggs on the pot on the left and you might be able to make out some of the wigglers on the sponge filter on the right. I would like to take more pictures but I think that leaving them alone for now is probably the wisest course of action.
thanks again everyone!!
