    Default Pre-filter

    Hi,

Where can I get the sponge pre-filter to use on AquaClear 200?
    Thank you!

    Hi Kishi,

I use Filtermax III prefilters from www.jehmco.com and I love them. Many on here will tell you to make your own out of sponge inserts for Fluvals or even cleaning sponges. These work great too.

If you know, can you be specific such as the manufacturer and the size? I would like to order it from dr.foster&smith if they have it available.

Thank you Ryan. My second post actually was written before I saw your reply. I don't see yours on Dr.Foster&Smith's website. However, I see some Oxygen Bio-Filters there and don't know which one fits my AquaClear 200. Anyone knows?

    Kishi,
It looks like all the Oxygen Plus Bio-Filters are air driven sponges. But you might get lucky & it might fit your intake?
I also use the Filter Max III and they were great!

I use the same fluval 2 blue cylinderthat I use onthe AC 500. For the AC200 I do not remove the inner sponge plug. It slips right over the intake tube.
