How does a drip system works????
I have seen daninthesand's drawing but wut is a HCU and how does that work???

Do you mean HRU?

A drip system need not incorporate a heat recovery unit (HRU). A drip system is relatively simple. You basically run tap water to your tanks and drip the water in at a slow rate. There usually is some form of pressure reducer to keep the pressure low in the drip system. You run tubing from your tap, then through some type of filter, usually a sediment filter to filter out sediment, then an activated carbon (AC) filter to remove chlorine. From there you branch off the main tubing to each of your tanks and use drippers (drip emitters) to control the water flow to each tank. The tanks must each have some means to let the water out in the form of a drilled bulkhead or overflow box, so that excess dirty water drips out of the tank to your drain. This system will only work if your tap water is suitable for fish. If you have chloramines in your water you cannot use this system.

The HRU is a device i built to help recover some of the heat that is wasted and goes down the drain after it leaves the tank. I use the waste water to heat the incoming cold fresh water. This post details how to build one:
