    Default sick leopard discus

Hello, I have a problem with three of my leopards. They have gone dark. They seem to have some kind of spot formation and it's not ick. I know what they are about. The spots seem to be on the body like very small red spots. does anybody have any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tony ??? ???

Open sores? That sounds like TB

    Hi Carol,

I might be describing it wrong, but they look like red spots but not that red. I put a flash light on them and they look like red spot but light in color not like open sores. Sorry for the wrong description.

Not scrape marks or injuries? All the fish in the tank are affected? any other symptoms?

May be bacteria or parasite. If open sores you don't use formalin. Have you added any new fish?

Not all the fish are affected only three out of the ten and there are no injuries. I did just recently move them into a different tank and shortly after this happened, but the tank is aged and was already existing. Two of the fish eat ok but are dark and one just picks a little. There are no new fish either. They do seem to be dazed at times like out to lunch.

If no open sores try formalin. 1 cc or ml per 10 gallons. 8 hrs later 50% water change. Add extra air. Quick cure may also work - directions should be similiar to formalin. Let me know if this helps.
