What's the typical breeding tank set up(size, filtration, lighting etc.)?
Ans: I use 18inchX18inchX18inch tanks for breeding.
filtration: spong filter till they lay, once the wrigglers are there I take out the sponge filter and just use a small diffuser.
Lighting: Room light is good enough.
How do you choose your pairs?
Ans: Sometimes I pair them up naturally and at times I pair them up artificially by selecting the healthiest male and female around.
Do you wait for them to pair up in a group or force two known breeders together?
Ans: I normally pair them up in group if they are going to breed for the first time. If they are known breeders then I do force pairing.
What are the water parameters?
Ans: TDS: around 80. PH 7 and temperature: Normal. I don't use thermostat. Last winter a pair had babies on their body in a temperature of 18C. They were raised and sold later on.
How do you induce spawning?
Ans: No inducement
How many of you are using RO/Tap mix, Peat water, or straight tap?
Ans: I use RO water as the normal tap water of our area has too much iron and the normal TDS is around 600
How do you condition your pairs for breeding (feeding regiment, temps etc)
Ans: No I don't
Do you clean(medicate) your pairs prior to spawning?
Ans: No

Ans: PVC
Do you use mash to cover the eggs?
Ans: No
What do you do after they spawn? How do you treat the eggs to prevent fungus?
Ans: After the spawning is over, I just pour 7.5 ml Rid All antifungus solution to prevent the eggs from getting fungi affected.
What temperature, water parameters do you maintain after the spawn?
Ans: Normal Temperature

Ans: 90% twice a day
Feeding the pair after the spawn ? what type of food and how often?
Ans: Beef Heart Mix thrice a day
