WHERE DO ALL THE BABIES GO

After I learn all the basics about discus, breeding looks like where all the juice is. You have some fine breeding tanks out there. But, what happens to all the babies as they grow. Do all of you have an outlet to sell them or what? In my area here on the Oregon coast, in fact probably all of Oregon, LFS don't even carry discus.

There is not much of a market outside of the Portland area. I only breed when I want something of a particular pairing. I cull most of the spawn and select the very best for myself to growout. I usually give away the discus I no longer want.

If you are looking to make a dollar, I would consider Hamsters! Don't think many people got rich on fish.
If you are looking for a challenge - Discus are where it's at!
