*cringe* red mites & red wigglers

Well my new red wrigglers bin is now teaming with red mites *cringe* these things remind me of mini spiders, so I dont much like them. but I can deal
I just hope this isnt because my mom decided my worms must be 'pretty hungry' when we first got them, and didnt listen to a word I said and dumped the whole coffee can of food on top of em (HUGE coffee can filled to the brink) and then made sure to mix it in so I couldnt really pull the excess off :
I also now have pumpkin seeds growing in my bin, hehehe, I think I might pull these out & put them in pots - I like pumpkins

as the mites increase I've found a good way to rid of them.. mwuahaha
I think my giant kribs are finding them quite tasty MMMM yum

I just bury the food the mites are munching on so I don't have to see them 8)

yeah, my mites are adventurous though, when I dig through the bin they start crawling up my arms *scratches all over* lol
