Default how to transfer discus from 7.6pH to 6.7

I am ready to transfer one of my discus that I have been holding in the bb tank to my planted tank. There is a huge difference in pH levels. What is the best way to do it? Acclimatize or just transfer in?

    Thanks.

You must carefully acclimatize when going from higher to lower pH. Put him in a bucket with enough 7.6 water to cover his top fins. Then you can either add cups of the lower pH water or set up a drip line with 1/4 inch airline tubing - keep checking pH levels. You may need to add air

definately add air as the process could take quite some time. Make sure you use a drip - and not a steady flow as that could change the ph too rapidly. If you use airline, tie a knot in it so the water drips, another option is to us RO tubing with a ball valve so you can adjust the flow as needed.

I found some plastic flow control valves at Meijers (of all places) that work fantasic. They are about a buck and a half for a package of 8 and it includes several t-valves as well.
