HELP!!!! LOL, I can't believe this!!!!!

One of the fish I got from Beth has just laid eggs!!!! I haven't been expecting this!! I don't know what to do first!!! She laid on a titanium heater, do I need to turn it off? Some of them are brown, about a dozen are white, what does that mean? WOW !!!! I'm over excited, please advise!!!!

They seem ok to me, still there at least. Mom n Dad take turns fanning, and protecting them. I'm on a mad dash to get another tank set up for the others.
I've looked for threads explaining the significance of the color of the eggs, but can't seem to find the answer to my question.
It's been I guess around 13 hours since they layed, most of the eggs are brown, but a few, around 20 are opaque white. Are the white ones fertilized, or the brown? Or is it to early to tell? How long till they turn?

Wait 72 hours after laying if fertile the eggs will turn
black. On the 6 to 7 days the frys will be free swimming
depending on your breeding stock and their health.

White eggs are dead. when they are fertilized they will turn black.

Hi,

Methylene Blue is a formula that is colored blue. You can find it in most LFS. If not, your pharmaceutical stores will likely sell it (in the aisles, non-prescription).
