    Default More Tank Space

I just thought I'd post with my current set-up and I'll be adding another 29 gallon to the top level of the stand I built this weekend.

Yeah....not too sure really. You have any ideas? The wife wants something red and I don't like Red Melons or 3R2's at all. She likes Albino snakes and I like the blue scorpions. They didn't do much for me before but they started growing on me. I also like the wild crosses. Decisions decisions....

Not too sure if I'm going to get them, still waiting on the list but I know Forrest is an extremely busy man.

Yup, sure is Ricardo! And those are two 55's. I'm going to pick up another 29 to go on top of the other 29. We have another 29 in the living room but I'll be building another double stand to hold two more 55's.

The window next to the tanks is a DREAM, can drain my tanks in SECONDS!!! The 1" hose is the ticket, anything larger and I wouldn't be able to siphon anything above the sand because the tank would be empty in 2 seconds.

I was about to start cycling a "new" 2nd hand tank tonight. I painted the back & the bottom last week & everything was fine then, but tonight when we put it in position, there is a crack in the front glass. The tank has been sitting outside in the back yard on the pavers. I guess something happened to it while it was out there. You can only feel the crack from the inside, it's not all the way through - but I just wouldn't trust using it now. I'll have to get the panel replaced. Grrr, frustrating !!!!!!

Oh Robyn, sorry to hear about it. You sure it's a crack and not a deep scratch???

I'm not sure how to tell the difference. I know when I rub my finger nail on the inside, I can feel the the crack or scratch. You can't feel anything from the outside.

Is there some sure way to know the difference? I thought I could always fill it with water just as a test, but the worry wart part of me says that even if I leave it filled for the whole of it's fishless cycle, the time it finally gives way will be when there are discus in there & I'm at work. You know, Murphy's Law.
    Cheers
