I need help on water changing, I have a 29 gallons fish tank that hold 7 discus total I do about 30-40% water changes every day put what can I put in the water like any salt or something, is this good enough I put 2 drops of nirite, nitrate, PH. Im new to discus so I dont really know how to use those PH, nitrite, nitrate stuff. How can I treat a discus that has some white cotton sticking out of it body, and what treatment should I use?

It seems to me that unless your discus are very small, you have too many fish for the aquarium. Also, it sounds like at least one of the fish is sick, in which case you should post your question (with pictures) in the "disease" part of the forum: http://forum.simplydiscus.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34

As for the water change question, it's not really clear to me what is in the 2 drops you're adding to the water. Nitrites and Nitrates are the bad stuff you're trying to remove with the water change. Are you adding a "de-nitrifier?" if so, what brand etc. BTW, there is also another section in the forum that deals with water quality: http://forum.simplydiscus.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35

Not trying to be mean, but you will likely get better help by posting questions in the correct sections.

Discus should have something like 10-20 gallons per fish. Even small ones are crowded with 7 in a 29. As for the test kit, there should be instructions with it. Follow them. Never add salt, discus don't like it. Read some of the sticky posts on this site in the beginner forums and see what you need.
