Red-Spotted Green Coari F4
this is a pair of Coari RSG, possibly in its F4 crossing already, of which lineage belongs to Conrad Chia of Creative Discus, Singapore. He won the title of Grand Champion - Wild Category at the 2002 Duisburg with his Red-Spotted Green!
Hope you guys enjoy the photos!!

Re:Red-Spotted Green Coari F4
thanks guys!!
the fishes just spawned today.. but it seems like it doesnt quite attract the local hobbyists here in singapore. locals tend to go for more advanced strains.. like the leopard snakeskins and all.. as opposed to these wild-form strains.
oh well, my inclinations are towards the wild-strains though.
wish i could ship some to you guys abroad!

Re:Red-Spotted Green Coari F4
many spotted fish which are in the market now are hormonised quite abit for its spotting and all to be evident. i guess in the RSG lineage (and crossing ancestry within this lineage and no out-cross to any mutated strains), the allure of the contrasts of wild colours almost always catches the eye much more than the domestics. it's a kind of 'naturalness' which led me into wanting to refine this strain.
i've never, in any sorts, fed these fishes any colour enhancers intentionally. home-made beefheart mixes of mine contain no asthaxanthin, and probably only a minimal amount of carotenoids from the prawns i mix in. yet still, the contrast between the light yellow base, coupled with the whitish-blue hue of the striations of these RSGs never fail to bring a smile to me whenever i see them swimming lovingly together!
thanks for all the kind feedback!
