If you have a need for an "odd" sized tank..or have access to some used/salvaged glass...or....you just want the "experience" then GO FOR IT! Its definately not difficult.
But if your expecting it to be cheaper to build your own...think again. New glass can be pretty spendy....Its typically cheaper to buy a tank new.

My intention is to have the experience of building my own fish tanks as well as save some money of buying new fish tanks.

A 20g tank cost me $25, 38g cost me $60 at my local fish store.

I just want to see how much can I save if I do it myself.

Do you guys know where can I buy glass? Home Depot?

I checked on the difference in price between buying an all glass 65g tank and the cost of just the glass to make my own, and the tank was cheaper from all glass that it was to buy the parts. That would also not include any trim rings or any way to hold the glass tops or lights on the tank.

Unless you have a specific need for a tank that the manufacturers cannot provide, you are better off buying it.
