You are really into that central filtration.

Believe me this whole hobby has benefitted from people that have developed things through needing to make things better than they are. The best innovations ussually are reaaly simple improvements. I would love to see the finshed product. It sounds like we have allot in common when it comes to the technical sideOriginally Posted by ronrca
Sweet! What we are currently working on is modifing the irrigation solenoid valves because they are cheap. We are trying to use a small 12V DC motor to open/close the valve using a threaded shaft. Only problem is the shaft itself being too short to reach far enough into the valve to do this. We are wanting to couple another shaft to it however this is where we cant find a good method to do so. Once that is accomplished, the rest is easy and the valves will open/close without having pressure restrictions.Originally Posted by Resinman
Any good ideas?

Hmmm I am kinda spoiled. I have that prefabricator in Toronto and what I would do is show hime the problem and we would use a pvc solution. Meaning that we can cut or lathe something. The nice thing about plast is how easy it is to alyer. Maybe you can look at some cpvc piping and notch it to fit the ends. or maybe get lucky and match some thread? Without seeing it I am just guessing.Originally Posted by ronrca
Maybe if you email me a pic of the two ends you are trying to match I can have a better idea
Sure thing! I'll take some tonight.
Thanks
