breeders/retailers in southern california

Can anyone recommend a quality breeder or retailer in Southern California? I live in Palmdale, California.

What kind of discus you looking for? There is a store in Santa Ana that has some great Pigeon Blood adults (5-6 inch) for $75-100 each. They have tons of other discus as well. No 1 Tropical Fish is the name of the store.

If you want I can always go check to see what they have to save you a trip if they have low numbers of fish. Drop me a pm if you want.

Have you ever bought fish from this store? I checked their rating at cichlid forum, and they only had a mediocre review. This was only one person's opinion, though, so maybe the store is better than it seems.

I have also tried to contact Majestic Discus, but I haven't had a response after 2 or 3 e-mails over several weeks.

Just yesterday I drove 2 hours to a store in Riverside that is a registered Stendker discus dealer and was very dissappointed at the condition of many of the fish--they seemed very stressed.

I would gladly drive almost anywhere to get quality fish!

These guys just got a handful of imports of quality discus. I just picked up some myself this week. They are close to the airport in L.A.

I was viewing the Simplydiscus ads today and I observed that you (moggyfish) are looking for Discus in LA, Riverside and San Bernardino areas. I have some big beautiful Discus (5-6 inches) that I was keeping in my 135 gallons tank for the last 2 years. I got them from breeders with good reputation like Lauro from Orange County and others from San Francisco. The reason why I am selling them it is because I have another tank with medium size Discus from Ng Discus, Sunrise Tropical Discus and Lake Fairy Discus and I am planning to keep them. I am located in Corona/Riverside. You could see some of my Discus at the address mentioned below. Some of them are already sold. I have available a total of 12 in my big tank.
