I have records from the Indiana Attorney General's Office regarding Tom's business transactions. This arguement was fought out on this forum some years back with Tom making a major fool of himself telling lie after lie, unknowing I had all the documentation of his law suit.Anyone who was privvy to the thread to which I am refering would be a major fool to ever deal with him.

The discus community is small now with the forums available to the entire world. TM thought he would tap into a client base here unknowing that he was not a secret to many. Others have tried to tap a client base on particular forums, thinking that they would make a killing on people who have kept discus for 10 minutes. Little did they know that many have been around a long time and knew them well.

I havent got them yet. Tom called me yesterday to tell me he was helping to set up an exzibit at the zoo, and that there was a jack knife semi on his way back, so he wouldnt be able to ship them till today (I about crapped myself when he said this) I'll let you know how the rest of the story unfolds tomorrow. I got my fish today. Two of them were in fair shape, however the peruvian green is not looking too good, has some fin damage that worries me. I wish I would have found this site earlier. I've learned my lesson.

Like you said, lesson learned! Now that you know, things can only get better. It sounds like you found this site pretty early in your discus experience, right? Everyone has been where you are. We've all purchased from places we shouldnt have without knowing the difference. I spent $100's of dollars on discus before I figured I had better do some good research before I buy any more. Thats when I came across simply discus. I now would only purchase from local breeders that I know or someone that has been highly recommended on simply. Dont worry though, maybe with the help of some folks here, we can salvage those guys you just got.
