Rams

Is there a general rule with rams in a tank. Or how many gallons do each ram needs.

There are many threads here regarding discus and rams together.

If someone has to keep tankmates with discus, rams are the best consideration in my book.

Although Rams go well with discus, they can be territorial with each other. Two is a safe amount unless you have a very large tank.

how many rams to a gallon. I have a 30g with 3 3in discus in there,can i put 2 rams in there or is that going to get overcrowded.

I had 3 discus and 2 rams in a 29 gallon for almost a year and they did fine. I did lots of w/c's. I wouldn't add anything else though.

For now you are fine. How long to you plan on having only 3 discus and in a 30gal?
