I'll be pulling cutting and banding this weekend, so I'll PM you when I get the stuff together.

The Cabomba Furacata is supposed to be one of the hardest plants to grow. It requires high light and high ferts.

It turns out that this is to get it to root well. If it is left floating, it grow pretty well no matter what. Without high light and high ferts in the substrate, the stems tend to rot, releasing the tips to float in the tank. However, I had several stems "take" which has resulted in red cabomba all over the tank. It's taking up about a third of my tank, now, so I have to cull a large bunch of it!!!

    Thanks AL!!

Does anyone know where I can get some creeping moss? I do not want to buy it from overseas as all the plants I get from overseas are dead within a couple weeks
Also some nice portions of riccia or short growing grass

    Frank,
I could send you some Sagittaria subulata which will stay short until it gets over crowded (It stays about an inch high, but when it fills in too densely it grows up to 8" high). I probably have picutures showing it both ways if you want to see it. It is a very grasslike plant btw.

First one is at a low height, its the plant in the foreground btw, second is about 4 months later, and it got taller than that, I'm too tired now to look through the 100's of photos right now though. It's an easy to care for plant that spreads rapidly in good light. It's still very low in the 125 gallon. I think it is under used personally

    Frank,
No problem. I'm sorry there were so few and they are somewhat scrawny, I had just sent a bunch off to some other folks and recycled the rest from a major pruning. But I wanted to send them now due to the weather change soon.

    Frank,
The very little grasslike plants (Sagittaria subulata) spread like weeds for me. It will take them a few weeks to acclimate and then they will just take off. I sent you a Cryptocoryne wendtii that will also spread, but not nearly as quickly. Of course the sword plant (Echinodorus bleheri) is just a baby so watch out, it will get MUCH bigger (I've had them get so big one plant took up more than half of a 55). The tape grass (Valseneriria americana will get VERY long leaves (In the 125 they sometimes get about 2 meters) it is also fairly fast growing for me. I know I sent a few others but I don't remember what.
