Total square footage around 230 feet. Allows me space for 3 of the industrial racks that I use to hold tanks. I currently only have 10 tanks(5 breeders and 5 growouts) but by the end of the year that will probably grow.
I think she will just be glad to have my stuff out of the house. Even I'm sick of hoses running down the hall and into the bathtub. And I seem to have a serious flood about once a month and have completely ruined the carpet in 2 bedrooms and the hallway, and the bathroom which I finally tiled. If I had just built the fishroom when I first moved in I could have saved money! Oh Well!
YA know? ITs talk like that which keeps my husband from letting me get more than one tank. :> We have a newly built home and he is paranoid about water spillage and mold and all.
I guess he "does" have reason to be. In our older home (950 sq ft) I had 9 tanks going for mated pairs and grow outs. My python reached throughout the house, but that doesnt mean a thing since I often forgot to switch the water and sprayed all over instead of sucking it up.
ALso, my youngest son was into turtles of all types, he had 3 tanks, and another 4 for his lizards. And my oldest had 2 tanks for his tarantulas.
Now, my husbands 2 dogs and my 2 cats, they didnt need tanks.
Can we say obessive and compulsive?
I am still work ning on getting my 90 gallon tho. I will start a good thread when I get it all worked out in my mind.
