Jewels should not be put in a Discus tank.
these ones are suposively very passive they arnt the same type you get in the pet store there some type of hybrid
"learn from what you live, live from what you learn"
be prepared to replace your discus, i sincerely hope you don't have to
if they are to aggressive i will keep them in the 20. i will prob just add one to see how it reacts. (i tried putting my betta in there and my runt almost killed him)
"learn from what you live, live from what you learn"
when i say runt i mean discus
"learn from what you live, live from what you learn"
The jewels really need to go in a different tank. Not a good tankmate for a discus. Good luck,

I have jewels and they are so mean they kill each other.
I keep them separate from the discus in there own tanks. (2 tanks with 3 jewels)

No. No. No. (On mixing them with discus)
They are going to target the eyes of your discus.
I've got a tankful of red jewel cichlids and trying to get rid of them. They're yours if you want them. I started out with 3. 1 paired up and now I'm trying to get rid of them.
And yes they cannibalize each other when they get the chance.
