Are you sure you got a glass tank? I wasnt aware they sold bullet shaped tanks made of glass...(not affordably anyways) The total weight makes me wonder as well...a 130 gal glass tank would weigh at LEAST 185 lbs by its self.

Yes, it's glass. I was wondering about if they got the weight right too since I think the tank weighs most of that too. I'm hoping they didn't forget or lose one of the boxes at the terminal! I got the tank for half the normal price and still it was pricy. Although, a rectangular 180 glass at the LFS with a fancy mission style cabinet and canopy was more than I paid for this tank, so I think I got a good deal (as long as I can get it in my house in one piece that is!).

I really wish it was acrylic, if it was we could've gotten it off that truck last night!

Do you mind be asking how much you paid for the aquarium and delivery fees?

The tank and stand is beautiful, who did you get it from? I would very much like to inquire about getting one. It's just what I have been looking for.

Thanks and I await your response.

Well, with all the ordial the tank stand had some damage in the back corner that UPS took note of. (In fact did you ever get that sick feeling when the delivery person says "come over here and take a look at this") I'll see what the seller wants to do since the tank is guaranteed for 5 years . I think it may be repairable and not show but we'll see what the seller says with the pictures.

Bummer again! Still if it can be reapired etc and nothing shows, then no probs. Always a bit of a let down though isn't it!

    Comfortably numb.

    Hi Tony,
yes, there's plenty of these glass tanks coming out of China these days. A bit pricey though but the curve shape looks really nice for a change.

Does this look like an easy fix? It is on the back. The seller says I will have to replace the back panel but it has hinges on both sides of the doors on that panel (it also only has a small opening in the back, looks like this tank could be seen from all 4 sides! Also, now looking at it, I wonder how I'm going to get lights on it? (yeah, after I bought a fixture). It doesn't have a glass top on it and it has a opening on top of 44" by 12.5" no brace in between. The canopy is 7" tall, has ventilation holes on top and the door isn't along the whole thing. Any ideas?

Here's a picture of the canopy, what can I get that'll fit? My light fixture is taking a big chunk if I can get it to adapt at all!

    Tina,
I see that it is actually fiberglass. Why wont the light fit? As to fixing the back, if it is on hinges that should make it very easy to fix. If you can't do it yourself I would be happy to fix it for you for the price of a round-trip plane ticket <grin>
