lets face it.. goldfish can no longer even swim or stay upright.
thats not fair to the fish..give me a big pond comet anyday or..the feeder goldfish. soooo cute..we had one..with lipstick on. white head..red lips. whats cuter? : )
i believe those fancy goldfish cant breed..or dont..and i was told the feeder goldfish are the ones that didnt make it to lionheads..etc..maybe the discus will no longer be able to make the runs etc either soon..with their new shapes.
my idea of a discus is round. disc shape . even the blue knights..i dont like. turned up nose..curved in straight up forehead.
    but..if theres a market..and people want them..they will be.

    Dear All:
I agree this type of fish can't be accepted by all of the discus fans. I also agree in this shape, you can call it as Monster discus. This shape can be inherited, but the offspring must be selected. It is more easily to selected out when they are over 3 inches. People in Asia called this shape of discus as many commercial name, such as Egg shaped, Standing Egg, Bulldog......etc. However, thanks for all of your comments.

I love their coloration.. but.. I just do not care for their face. It just doesn't look right to me. Maybe they'll grow on me.. but right now I just dont like it.

I'm so enjoyed looking at those egg-shaped discus, their eyes are just right in terms of color, size, health... I would hand-pick some if I can make a trip to Penang next year. Good job
