Here are the same Reflections before Dave bought them from me in a blue tank. This background is close to the same blue as painter's tape but the lighting seems to lighten it up. The color was called "peek-a-boo blue".
I think Dave maybe using 50/50 or actnic bulbs which cast even a bluer shade.
Here's the same paint color but probably a different time of day so it looks more true to life.
Ignore the pleco that is stuck head first in the sponge filter.

When I took my background off the tank, I could see my wall, which is a light mauve/rose shade. Surprisingly, the fish looked nice against that too. But against the white, they really popped, the blues, the oranges/reds, the cardinals all looked great, and the plants look really nice too.
