    What size is your tank?

Do you plan to connect them to a filter? If so, what filter?

What is your purpose (eliminate parasites, algae, or bacteria)?

It would be a 90G tank, I have an eheim cannister filter. I would like to kill off any bacteria and algae.

    Bob,

For my 90 gallon I bought a TurboTwist 36W to use with my Filstar XP3. Once I got it, Big Al's told me (since the tubing was confusing) that no way would that UV work with the flow of my Canister. THey suggested using a powerhead or getting one that had its own pump.

I got this one 24W and LOVE it!!! IT cleared up my algae, and no sickness in my tank. My water is crystal clear.

With media (Assumeing 251 is mfr rated gph) hoses etc I would guess you are in reality at 150-190gph.

I have heard a lot of good things about the turbotwist, stay away from the jebo UVs they are notorious for leaking.
    30-40W you should be fine.

    Hi BobB,
I run two Eheim 2128s on my 90 gal. and they each discharge through an 18 watt Coralife Turbotwist. I love them. Never any problems and they work as advertised.................Ed
