No, not where do you buy it. I'm curious as to what's in it.

    Hello Liz,

I have heard of this product but never have purchased or used it...

If the contents are not printed on the bottle, recommend you send "Jungle Labs" an email @ http://www.junglelabs.com/pages/contact.asp regarding
the contents/ingredients of Bag Buddies and your concerns about their product.

Please let us know their response, cause I am curious as well!

    HTH,

Bag Buddy is a cheap little pill which contains a sedative, some electrolytes, oxygen enhancers, methylene blue, and a polyionic slime coat enhancer.

Are you planning on shipping some fish? They are used primarily for transporting fish in bags

I JUST ordered some from Jehmco, and am planning on shipping some fish. I hope nobody has any horror stories about using these. If so, please please please advise.

    Thanks,

well..as far as ive heard ...not sure if im correct..it has blue or green...and it has some sedative type thing..to keep them calm while shipping. big discus etc...they are good for shipping..as they calm them and they dont thrash and break the bags with their hard rays. alot of breeders use them to ship . ive had fish ive received with them used..and they all arrived fine. also..it slows down their rate of breathing etc..and producing ammonia etc..a bit of a nap while travelling.
this is only hearsay..or bag buddies according to april. : )

I use bag buddies with no issues on most fish. I do not put them with pleco's. I lost two pleco's when I transported to a swap meet. It could have very well been stress other something else and not the bag buddy, but I have not lost any pleco's since.

    Thanks Bill,

I feel better about using them now. Maybe your plecos decided to snack on their bag buddies?
