    Default Discus and Raphael

Anyone know if I can keep a striped Raphael with discus. Going to discus and have a FAT 4" Raphie that I'd like to keep.

    Cheers!

Yes they can take temp (Keep it on the low side), just slowly bring the temp up. Keep in mind that this is a fish that can attain 8" and more and that although you may not see it much he is VERY VERY active at night (might hurt the discus with his tough armor) and a good hunter too, small fish don't stand much of a chance.

If you can I'd just set up a new tank for him.

A very poor choice for a discus tank.

I think a striped raphael needs feistier tankmates. The discus will not like this creature in thier aquarium. Again, this is one of the residents in my 125 gallon soth american tank and he can definetely handle living with the big boys.

Thanks for the replies! Been atthe beach and just got back. Looks like I've got a fish for sale/trade huh?
