Hey A1 thank you vary much for your kind words. I do have 4 runts 2 are mandarin passion that haven't grown for 2 years. But one of them has grown about 1 full inch maybe more in the past 3 months. I don't know why but she has.

I also have 2 gold snake skins that are only a year old that I'm trying to get to grow a lot more before they slow down completely. There sister/brothers are about 6 inches. So I got some work to do but its coming along.

Hahahaha thank you kindred. You know where I got it? I long term borrowed it from my x landlord. He was slowly buying the house back and his parents did the gardening before they moved out. He stoped doing it and I put it in my tank for the 8 months that I was there and I kept it ever since.

    architect,

you can do more with that tank, no comment, just advice.

keep the sand in the front of the tank 1/2 to 1" and in the back 4-5" it give you the effect you have a much deeper tank.

Agreed. This is a classical dutch aquarium technique. It adds height and depth to the look of the aquarium. You don't even have to slope it across the entire bottom of the aquarium - just push the sand away from the front in a slope 3-4 inches toward the back. You will get the same effect and it takes, like, 30 seconds to do.

As a bonus, with that slope, I've found it concentrates waste near the front for easy siphoning.

So you have 6 discus in this aquarium, right? How big is it again?

Yeah I agree hans just waiting to get more money then real plants are going in and I will be getting more rocks or something for some bottom living fish. I also want to add a schooling fish in there but not sure witch to do.

Thank you for your input Hans.

dawncollette Thank you so much. To be honest I love my discus, there like my family; as most discus owners feel when they see them grow from babies to adults.

The tank, I wish i had new, and the plants to be honest are fake lol. I can't find any real ones that are good quality, they have fish swimming in them, or there really poor grade of a plant.

I thank you for the compliments and observation.
