    Default carbon in planted tanks

    I am working on a planted tank for discus and I have a fluval 305 with carbon in it but I was told that you shouldn't have carbon in you filter in a planted tank is this true.

    the carbon will remove/bind the nutrients the plants need to grow. I use carbon only to remove Meds.

    thankyou that might be why my plants are not doing good I was ready to take them out and put in silks I'd much rather have the live though.
