Rio Branco Heckels, Apistomaster's

I want to clarify that although my Heckels were sold as Rio Branco Heckels the fact is that Heckels occur only in the Mouth and some adjacent waterways of the Rio Branco but do not actually populate the Main Rio Branco as that water is not suitable for them in the river.

Like almost all of us, I am at the mercy of the often inaccurate info supplied by the vendors from which I buy.

I cannot agree more with you. That is the reason why I wrote my book on wilds and made it so big. Because the mis-information, and I do not care where, is unbelieveable.

But if you go by what I wrote and what I show, you can always - almost for 100% - identify the specmen you buy.

True to what you said, it is clear to me that my Heckels are typical of those collected nearby the Rio Branco. That should not be a surprise as apparently it is a major collecting point of Heckels.

Salvo is a good guy. We and myself are lucky to have him working with us.

I have a question for you if you find the time to respond. Do I detect that you yourself have a special personal connection to Symphysodon discus?
