Did you take that with a digital looking down a scope or just the digital camera close up to the sample?

Pic was taken looking through the scope, took a bit of moving the camera around to get the right field of view. I put the lens right on the scope eye- piece.

Would a scope with this description be suitable? It's fairly basic, I'm guessing, but wonder if it might get me by until I save up for a better one?

    "Description

    Illuminating light

    Spare Globe
    Magnifying Glass
    1 Pre-prepaired slide
    12 blank slides

    2 Collecting Vials
    Dissecting Needle"

Or there is this 2nd choice, only slightly more expensive

    "Description

Or am I wasting my time? Thanks in advance.

This is the microscope i have, i am very happy with its performance. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a high quality scope at a reasonable price.

The live feed camera makes it easy to identify and capture images.

Thanks for the info guys, I guess Amscope isn't too bad. I was trying to find information on the brand but not much out there. I will definitely look into one of their microscopes.

    Thanks again

Eddie, these are some of the best 'scopes I've seen. I think they can ship too maybe worth a shot... they have an excellent range. http://www.brunelmicroscopes.co.uk/index.html

Actually, really nice English guy named Steve(for interested Aussie members) on the freecall number listed on that website gives a great deal on the 1.3mp camera if you buy a scope too...he said he'd do the same for other Simply forum members...I'm not getting any kick back just thought I should clarify that...you will get a better deal than they advertise by calling him, just tell him you want a good deal like he gave me and he will look after you

Which would I be happier with:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/BINOCULAR-COMPOU...742.m153.l1262
    or

    http://aunet.com.au/digital_microscope.htm

The 2nd one has a camera, but I can't see what the scope looks like, as the pic isn't working.

    Tank,
I know that amscope makes nice scopes for the $. If you are looking of a scope you can use in conjunction with a live view cam you may be better to look into a http://store.amscope.com/t400-a.html. It is about
$60 more then the one you listed including cam. The main advantage with this style trinocular scope is you can easily switch back and forth from live view cam to eye piece with a slide bar, without having to remove the cam.I have the one i listed and would recommend. I hope this helps.

Looks good Kenny. With conversion, it's a bit more expensive. the one you linked works out at AUD$404.87. I think the camera is extra for that one???

    Hi (again)

What about this one. I don't think it has a mechanical stage, but camera is included & warranty issues should be easier, as supplier is in my own country.

Any comments would be great to hear.

    (Rox, sent you an email)
    Cheers
