    Default "Ioniser"

    Hi Folks,
Just had a thought, as i am setting up my fishroom at the
moment, was thinking about how to give the fishroom some air circulation
when i kept birds (Budgerigars) i used an Air Ioniser, what it does is
emit positive ions to the air, resulting in sweet smelling air(Handy in those
fishrooms i would guess!! it also removes dust, pollen and spores., and
also bacteria, anyone use them in the fishroom !! I am thinking of giving it
    a try.
    Regards
    Ben.

    Hi Sean,
As i have said i used an ioniser years back when i breed (Budgerigars)
it removed dust/spores and bacteria, it emits ions to the air result
fresher air, so i guess you could say it moves the air somewhat!!maybe
an idea to use with a cooler fan, the idea of using one does seem
worth a try....The fact it can remove spores/bacteria from the air
could be very benificial in the fishroom, sure you would find more details
on the internet, technical stuff in there....I know they are used in
hospitals, cars, and in the home also people use them for hayfever.
Just something i would like to try for the fishroom.
    Regards
    Ben.

oh, and also less dust.... now i want to try one of those Hybryd GP's (sharper image) they make but looked at the price and nevermind.... anyone know where to get one CHEAP?

Are these the things that create ozone? I gotta stay away from ozone producers as they flare my asthma up. What about a HEPA air filter unit?

yeah they create ozone but the newer models have something called ozoneguard and convert residual ozone into oxygen before it comes out...

hepas are good and all but not really effective against smells... plus filters get expensive and they're loud
