Hopefully, mine will grow out to look as nice as yours . Here's mine when I just got them and after 6-7 weeks of having them. (excuse the water spots).

    Hi Tina,
You are doing a wonderful job with those fish from Kenny, keep up the good work and it's fun to see them grow.

Question Re: Some recent pictures of the red discus(3R2)

    Mario,

Aside from the home made stuff, is there a flake or frozen that enhances the red color that would approach your accomplishment? I too have some red fish -3r2's- but they are in with VR/BK crosses and when I feed them Tetra color the VRs loose their blueness, or at least I think they do.

Homemade beefheart is beyond my culinary skill, which is limited to boiling water for pasta and heating up sauce...

    Hi Jack,
Unless you separate the different colour strain, that's the only possibility. There should be some colour enhancer flakes in the market and I don't have any idea which they are.
I feed my discus with a hamburger mixture with lots of shrimps in it plus the tetra discus bits, glass worms (if available),frozen blood worms and Omega One cichlid flakes.
The tetra bits do contain beta carotene.
