I need shades to look at your fish lol. Hey are they RGDs from Lip or 3R2 from Wayne..and what the heck is the difference?

There are too many RGD immitations in the market right now unless you get them from Ung Seng Lip.
They are Wayne's 3R2, the original stock came from Lip and he recrossed it with his own strain for a few generations and he renamed them as 3R2.

I'm really new to this but how is the development of the RGD to some of the other non-pigeon red strains? Did they originally come from them or are they a totally different strain all together? I'm thinking of the San Meriah, the rose reds, etc.

Hi Tina,
The source of Pure Goldens which Ung used to create the RGD was his own line of Pearl Diamond. These are pure goldens which have no pigeon blood genes.
Attached is a picture of an albino Pearl Diamond, the discus is a similar fish in which Ung Seng Lip started with his RGD and ARGD stock.

most ARGD male r come with lighter color as lighter red or even yellow light the pearl diamond n some even come with striations.below is a pic for ur reference,picture taken from the creator farm recently.

It varies, the lighter colour could be either males or females.
I have two yellow light colour pearl diamonds and both are laying eggs.
