No longer QT tank, now a growout ;-), red turks, AFxSS, CT
i just wanted to update on these no longer QT fish, they are officially in a "grow out tank". there are 6 total in my 55. the red turquoise (both A grades) and altum flora x red snake skin cross (14 bar) were approx 6 months when i got them @ 4" back in Sept 1st, which puts them at around 9 months. the biggest of that group would be the 1 red turk and 1 AFxSS at just a tad over 6". the other AFxSS is my runt which is roughly 5", i didn't measure that one. My carnation turks (2 of them) were approx 4-5 months and i got them also at 4" on Oct 13th. so they are roughly 6-7 months and are sitting a little over 5", definitely caught up to the runt in my first group. here are the pics, enjoy!

RICARDO!! you lucky SOB! Im jealous man... I love that tank. awesome mix of turks, super super sweet man. you take great pics too bro! keep us posted on these...they are gonna grow out to be stunners. I need to get my hands on some of these strains! maybe for my birthday! LOL.

thank you everyone, they are my pride and joy. the thing is that these fish are not darters, quite the opposite, they rush the top when i'm near, so i'm not sure how it got that injury. regardless, thank you all for the compliments and i can't wait till these guys go into my 125, in about 6 months or so.

When Kenny brought them in I knew i had to have them. they are developing quite well, one is a little bit ahead of the curve comparitively than the other but hopefully it catches up. the one that messed up it's dorsal is the bigger oneOriginally Posted by Eddie

I really hope so seeing as the 125 has way better lighting. i really don't like the generic bulbs that come with these 55 hoods but we must make due with what we have at times. hopefully their colors pop just a bit more in the 125, and hopefully they do not tear their fins out with their new roommates when the time comes.

I bought a 3.5" CT from the Oct 1 shipment. He/She is way above the curve and must be over 5" by now. They grow quickly don't they! I'm contemplating a few more from the coming January shipment, those 5.5 TC Turks are awesome looking. Your guys are a great looking group!
