    Default (Future) Home for discus

New to the whole aquarium scene. Finally got my tank up and running after months of research and projects. When everything is 100% final I'll start a thread in the planted section, but just wanted to share a few pics here real quick. The sponge filter is coming out, its just there to help seed my cannister. The rocks on the driftwood will be coming out, they are just keeping the thing form floating off. I'm adding 5 SAE's tomorrow and 5 ottos a week or two later. 2 weeks after that I'm either adding 10 marble hatchets or 15 cardinals. The water is a little murky...I just got done moving some plants around. I wanted to post a pic anyway cause I'm psyched about having the thing up!! We got two snails with the plants and my wife is ecstatic

I like the background as well, I have always liked rocks in the back. Will be really nice after everything is said and done.

Thanks guys!! The background is made out of foam covered with cement. I mostly followed the instructions here

It was time consuming, but not really difficult. It took about 2 weeks before the cement stopped affecting my water pH and I gave it another week of curing after that. Then I set it up for a week and measured the pH every day vs. a control and they never differed. I'll give a full write up and explanation at some point.
