I have tried the Wattley frozen food but there is too much gel binder I always get extra slime in the tank and on the hoses. I got my LFS to order the Hikari Discus Diet and my fish went crazy for it ,so between the DM beefheart, Discus Diet and Hikari frozen blood worm I have plenty of food to rotate, plus I use Tetra color bits and New Life Spectrum, all of which my discus eat eagerly. The stuff they didn't eat I'll donate to my LFS as they are helpful and take is strays, fish as well as dogs, cats, and birds.

This is a follow-up to my previous post. They seem to like the worms that are in the discus diet, but not the other components of the cube which seem to be a type of prawn. My discus are mostly 4" body size and do not eat mysis or prawn, even chopped up. They eat everything else so its just one food less to buy. And yes, I have tried PE Mysis, shaved off the block, and chopped, no dice.

Not to hijack this thread, but do you thaw frozen food (beefheart, bloodworms ect....) before putting it in the tank?

I usually thaw my frozen foods to remove excess liquids. They are eating the Hikari frozen discus formula a bit more now.
